Google’s evolution into an advertising company

This is a non-Chinese entry.  A rather interesting history of Google as seen by Wikipedia showing its evolution from a search engine to an advertising company with a search engine attached.

Google gets sued because of the phones

It’s not just in Australia where Google’s getting sued.  The Chinese company Guge Science and Technology is upset that Google has orientalised its name to Guge, and they’re suing because Google’s tying up their phone lines.  Perhaps they could get their own back more effectively by selling on all the enquiries to an SEO campaign - or to Baidu.
